Advanced Orthodontic Courses
Dr. Waugh is the founder of intelliDENT solutions, inc., a teaching center for orthodontists. Through it he teaches doctors from all over the world about advanced topics like esthetics, quality of care, the use of the laser, and more. Most recently he shares about his patient-specific archwires that use lighter, more comfortable mechanics to produce what he calls "Platinum Proportion(sm)" smiles that result in shorter treatment times for most patients.
Also, Dr. Waugh speaks internationally on various state-of-the-art topics like 3D imaging, advanced esthetics, the afore-mentioned laser, and many others. In 2012 his stops include Monaco and Italy!
intelliDENT is located in Athens, Georgia just outside Atlanta (U.S.A.) and convenient to the Atlanta Airport, allowing nonstop travel to and from courses from practically anywhere in America. intelliDENT solutions, inc. is an American Dental Association (ADA) CERP Recognized Provider of continuing education -- one of just over 400 worldwide. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. intelliDENT designates activities for a certain number of continuing education credits based on actual participation time in that course. Diode Laser Education
Dr. Waugh was one of the first orthodontists in the country to incorporate the dental laser in his patient treatment protocols. He lectures annually at the World Clinical Laser Institute's Symposium in San Diego, as well as to dental study clubs, to AAO affiliates, and to universities across the United States.
In 2007 Dr. Waugh began providing in-office courses for orthodontists at the Athens Exchange office through his dental education company, intelliDENT solutions, inc. teaching doctors how to safely use the diode laser in patient care. Doctors from across the United States, Canada, Korea, Great Britain, Germany, Australia, and many other countries have benefited from his skills.
